Job Role:
• Evaluate and scope repair projects requiring fabrication.
• Inspect work performed
• Operate and maintain lathe, milling and oven machines.
• Use handheld tools and machinery.
• Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
• Select the appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of mechanics, technicians, and engineers to identify and address complex
aircraft issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety procedures, taking part in
professional development activities and training programs.
• Foster a culture of safety by adhering to established safety protocols and promoting awareness among
team members.
• Shipping and receiving duties as needed.
• Provide inventory management support.
Essential Functions and Competencies:
• Must be able to evaluate an aircraft part requiring repair to map out repair plan.
• Must have the ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, manuals, planning documents,
engineering drawings, and other technical directives.
• Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring tools.
• Must have strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Must have a high level of professionalism and integrity, be highly organized, work well under pressure and
be able to successfully balance multiple priorities.
• Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Applications.
• Must have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and passion for aviation.
• Must have the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed, with prior notice, until
additional shifts are filled.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
Required Education and Experience:
• Inspector experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of aviation technician experience-military or civilian required.
• Proven experience in aviation fabrication and machining in a machine or sheet metal shop.
• Experience using measuring tools (i.e. Calipers, Gauges, thermometers, Micrometers, and scale.)
• Part 135 or Part 121 experience a plus.
• Part 145 compliance understanding a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work in an aircraft hangar which at times may be hot, cold, dusty, or loud.
• Ability to work with malodorous liquids and oils.
