Job Description

Position Purpose
In a team-oriented work environment, and with minimal supervision, perform various structural assembly operations using the necessary tools, prints, specifications, and operational requirements to complete assignments and ensure adherence to specifications. May assist and provide guidance to other team members.

Essential Functions
• Perform assembly and fitting of parts and structures, as well as drilling and riveting operations, ensuring
assemblies meet requirements
• Adapt to new tasks with minimal impact on established goals and schedules
• Rivet structural members, assemblies, and parts using necessary tools (e.g., portable riveting guns,
pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers), with ability to remove fasteners without
damaging structures
• Read work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations,
rivet type, size, and hole patterns
• Inspect all work to ensure a defect-free assembly before final inspection
• Guide and assist team members in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders, and develop
methods to resolve production issues
• Maintain logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, CRABs, PCOs)
• Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners
• Conduct repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Requests (MRR), Production Change
Orders (PCO), and perform necessary rework to meet conformity requirements
• Keep work area neat and support the 5S & Lean Initiative Program, adhering to all safety regulations
• Work independently with little to no supervision
• Support Lean Activities

Additional Duties
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of three years of related structural assembly experience
• Familiarity with Solumina and Smarteam systems preferred
• Q-stamp preferred

Other Requirements
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math
• Strong comprehension of documents and instructions
• Essential personal skills: hands-on aptitude, professional attitude, attention to detail, teamwork, and ability
to meet demanding schedules
• Demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
• Skilled in close-tolerance work and knowledgeable in the use of specialized tools and equipment
• Ability to solve dimensional problems using mathematical formulas, fractions, decimal fractions, and whole
numbers
• Experience working with composite resins and materials
• Flexibility to work any shift
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders, stands, stairs, and work in confined or restricted spaces
• Respirator certification may be required
