Job Description
Position Purpose:
• This is an entry-level position where individuals will be trained in the processes related to the
manufacturing and/or servicing of aircraft.
• Working in a team environment, under direct supervision, the role involves performing various structural
assembly operations.
Essential Functions:
• Perform fitting of detail parts, basic drilling, and riveting operations using hand tools such as pneumatic
drills, rivet guns, countersinks, reamers, and files.
• Ensure all parts and work meet the instructions provided by the assigned manufacturing employee and/or
Quality Control Inspector.
• Learn to read work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets to determine the sequence of operations.
• Align and assemble parts using holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners for riveting.
• Observe and assist to gain familiarity with parts and assemblies, gradually working with less supervision as
experience grows.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment in a Technical Aviation program preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
Other Requirements:
• Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic documents and instructions.
• Strong personal skills, including:
• Aptitude for hands-on craftwork.
• Professional attitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with others and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Proficiency in basic personal computer software.
• Must be available to work any shift.
• Ability to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds.
