Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
• Fabricate and/or modify structural components on aircraft parts.
• Perform minor structural repairs on composite components, whether attached or detached.
• Assist in conducting hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures.
• Support complex structural repairs on or off the aircraft.
• Assist with aircraft component repair and replacement.
• Remove and install aircraft components as required.
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in 5-S activities to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform work in a safe and timely manner.
• Document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations.
• Operate ground support equipment as needed.
• Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations as necessary.
• Provide support for maintenance activities at off-site locations as required.
• Assist with towing aircraft as needed.
• Collaborate with other maintenance disciplines as necessary.
• Adhere to Client’s General Work Requirements for factory, shop, and/or hangar positions.
Qualifications:
• Training from a sheet metal aircraft technical school or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of aircraft structural modification experience.
• Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, regarding individual and/or aircraft status.
• Ownership of a basic set of hand tools, with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control.
• Ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required.
• Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays.
• Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge if applicable.
• A Certification, A&P Certificate, or Repairman Certificate (preferred).
• Basic PC skills.
